Target Audience: Staff at Strathclyde who would like to develop and apply essential AI skills.

All University staff and students now have access to Microsoft Copilot through their University Microsoft 365 account. But what can you actually do within Copilot, and why would you choose to use it over the likes of ChatGPT?

This beginner-friendly online session provides a short summary of Copilot, including data security information, explores the main tasks that it can perform, and looks at new features like specialised agents.

The session will also provide practical demonstrations of Copilot, showing how it can support varied job roles across the University.

By the end of this session, participants should be able to:

  • Explain the main features of Microsoft Copilot.
  • Understand the basics of the Microsoft Enterprise Data Protection License, in relation to the University of Strathclyde.
  • Demonstrate prompt creation within Copilot, and assess the quality of the ouput.
  • Build a basic Agent within Copilot, to carry out a specific range of tasks.
