Is this course right for me?
Target Audience: Anyone involved in research and/or knowledge exchange and/or teaching & learning
The workshop will prompt participants to ask, "what if?" and to imagine the different futures that may arise from their professional practice and/or research.
Given the rapid progress of research and development and its potential global impacts, and the growing focus of funding bodies on ethical practice and impact, how we connect multidisciplinary research and innovation to ethical impacts is highly relevant to many research and industry members of the community. Starting from the futures imagined through creative forms such as science fiction, we will use creative activities to engage participants in imagining the ethical horizons of their own professional work, in the process building new connections across disciplines and perspectives.
