LaTIN and the Leadership in Learning & Teaching Network is thrilled to welcome the first external Guest Speaker to the 2025-26 Network meetings on Tuesday 24th February at 12 noon in GH450.

Laurence Clarke (of Executive Coaching & Leadership Development | Taylor Clarke) will run a short session focussed on the following:

  • Discuss what leadership is and is not and the difference with management – Everyone can be a leader, not everyone is a manager
  • What do you see as good leadership (reflecting on good leaders you have known) – What are some key themes of good leadership -How do you compare?
  • The idea of the 3Ps to release potential – Purpose, People and Performance – The three Ps of leadership that releases potential in people, teams and organisations
  • Practise your 30 second Leadership pitch.

 

About the Speaker

Laurence has been helping to release the potential in senior teams and executives for over 30 years.

Combining extensive experience as a hands on manager and an academic, Laurence brings a unique blend of experience, knowledge and expertise to bear on his consultancy interventions. He works primarily with senior management groups and individuals and is committed to effecting major positive change in organisations and people through strategy and leadership development, 1:1 coaching and facilitation.

Laurence uses a creative problem solving style and has successfully developed a number of large scale interventions tailored to meet clients’ business needs.  He is currently running Strathclyde’s Leadership Development Programme .
