Is this course right for me?
Target Audience: Pre- and post-natal women, women considering conceiving, and women who have gone through significant physical or hormonal bodily changes.
This session will run on the gym floor and will instruct attendees on how to adjust and properly use various types of fixed path resistance machines. Fixed path resistance training offers significant and safe benefits for many individuals as well as in both pre- and post-natal women and can be beneficial in strengthening core and back muscles. This can help to alleviate common back and sciatic pain, which is very common during pregnancy, as well as strengthen up your core postpartum.
- This is a free session and open to all members of the Strathclyde community
- Please arrive to Strathclyde Sport with plenty of time to change and get to the gym floor for 10:15
- Please come in appropriate gym wear and bring a bottle of water
- Please ensure that you have been cleared by a doctor or qualified healthcare professional before beginning any new exercise program
