Power Hour of Writing (PHOW) – Online Session

Looking for dedicated time to make real progress on your writing?

Join our online Power Hour of Writing - a focused, distraction-free space where you can get words on the page, build momentum, and write alongside other researchers from wherever you are.

Whether you’re drafting a chapter, editing an article, or working on a report, this session is all about helping you prioritise your writing in a supportive and low-pressure environment. Many participants find the impact goes beyond the hour itself:

“This was great for a full productive hour of writing!”
“It put me in such a productive mindset which lasted the rest of the day!”

You’ll have:

  • A protected hour to focus on your writing
  • A shared, motivating space (without needing to travel)
  • A chance to build consistency and celebrate progress

This is a joint initiative between the Researcher Development Teams for postgraduate researchers and research staff, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
