Working Well at Strathclyde: What Does Wellbeing Really Mean?
We spend around a third of our waking lives at work, so creating an environment where people can thrive matters more than ever.
As part of World Wellbeing Week, join us for an engaging, interactive and thought-provoking session exploring what wellbeing really means at Strathclyde and why it matters to all of us.
This isn't a typical wellbeing talk. Rather than focusing on generic advice, we'll explore wellbeing through the lens of our own experiences, our workplace and our shared ambition to create a genuine Culture of Care across the University. Through interactive polls, surprising wellbeing facts, practical examples and real insights from our work with colleagues across Strathclyde, we'll look at what helps people flourish at work and what gets in the way.
We'll explore the simple but powerful factors that influence wellbeing, including belonging, psychological safety, purpose, connection and kindness, and why these are just as important as traditional wellbeing initiatives.
With increasing pressures across the higher education sector, this session offers an opportunity to pause, reflect and reconnect with what helps us work well, support one another and navigate challenges together.
You'll leave with practical, realistic ideas that you can put into practice immediately, whether that's supporting your own wellbeing, helping a colleague or contributing to a healthier and more supportive working environment for everyone.
Whether you're curious about wellbeing, looking for fresh perspectives, or simply want to take an hour to invest in yourself, we'd love to see you there.
