Target Audience: Leadership Group
This facilitated session will bring together Leadership Group members to identify the key barriers and opportunities for increasing diversity within leadership roles across the University. The discussion will draw on members' experiences, observations, and influence as institutional leaders to explore how systems, processes, culture, and decision-making can better support diverse leadership pipelines.
Through a structured and interactive discussion, participants will reflect on the current leadership landscape, consider where diverse talent may be facing obstacles, and identify practical actions that could strengthen representation at senior levels. The session will help to inform future leadership development, recruitment, and inclusion initiatives.
Discussion Themes
- What are the biggest barriers preventing greater diversity in leadership roles?
- Where are the opportunities to create more inclusive leadership pathways?
- How can leaders better identify, support, and sponsor diverse talent?
- What institutional processes, practices, or cultural norms may need to change?
- What actions would have the greatest impact over the next 1-3 years?
