Target Audience: PGRs

Participants will learn how to plan over short and longer-term timescales, remain flexible when priorities change and avoid intensive bursts of work that are difficult to maintain. We also consider how to manage energy and attention, protect focused research time and handle administrative demands without displacing important research activity. They will apply the tools to their current workload and develop a realistic, personalised approach that plays to their strengths, supports effectiveness, look after their wellbeing and work more sustainably.

By the end of the workshop participants will:

  • Recognise their own time- and self-management habits
  • Prioritise competing tasks and make effective workload decisions.
  • Apply practical strategies to improve focus and reduce procrastination.
