Strathclyde Doctoral School Postgraduate Researcher Induction
The PGR Induction is delivered in 2 sessions:
1) PGR Induction - Wednesday 9 April 2025
Join us for morning coffee in Graham Hills 515
The session provides a welcome to Strathclyde, to Strathclyde Doctoral School and to key information to support you in your journey as a postgraduate researcher.
2) Virtual PG Cert Researcher Professional Development Induction - Wednesday 16 April 2025
This session will cover the purpose of the PG Cert RPD, planning professional development, and how to successfully complete the PG Cert RPD. The hour-long session will consist of a presentation and an open Q&A.
Students in the Business School should contact their supervisor or departmental administrator to find out about their professional development requirements. An optional on-campus Q&A will follow.

All postgraduate research students are eligible to access the Researcher Development Programme workshops. This workshop can contribute towards the PG Certificate in Researcher Professional Development (PG Cert RPD).
You can find credit and class information in the Researcher Development Programme Handbook and in NEPTUNE (Engineering, HaSS) or SPIDER (Science).
Please check with your department or Supervisor to confirm if you are enrolled on the PG Cert RPD and how many credits you are expected to achieve if you are unsure.
