The aim of this course is to give Estates Services staff a basic awareness of the hazards and risks from various ionising and non-ionising radiation sources that are used across the University. The course will cover ionising radiation sources comprising of unsealed and sealed radioactive materials and x-ray generating equipment). It also covers non-ionising radiation sources, primarily lasers and NMR equipment and facilities.
