Target Audience: Staff seeking to engage with academic development programmes

This open session is an opportunity for academic professional staff (traditional academic, teaching, research and knowledge exchange staff) to come along to meet with a member of the Academic Development team in order to benefit from support in understanding the development opportunities available and in building programmes of development tailored to individual needs.

This is an opportunity to discuss the PG Certificates and what pathways are available for the desired PG Cert award.

We are in the process of replacing the PGCAP with new and improved versions of our Postgraduate Certificates for the next Academic Year. And while we are committed to ensuring all staff who are currently registered on the old programme are supported to achieve their intended outcomes (be that a postgraduate qualification or meeting probationary requirements), we are currently unable to guarantee that we will be able to offer you the modules you require to complete the PGCAP within a reasonable timeframe.

Our Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching Higher Education (PGCLTHE) will continue to run for the foreseeable future.  This programme also offers participants a taught pathway to Fellowship of the HEA in addition to the modular credits required for a Postgraduate Certificate and (for many categories of new staff) the credits required to meet probationary requirements.
