Target Audience: Those nominated to assist with the safe evacuation of persons with a mobility impairment.

To provide theoretical information and guidance regarding the evacuation chair and the procedures to be adopted. 

To provide nominated persons with a comprehensive understanding of the evacuation chair and impart confidence in both the apparatus and the arrangements/procedures.

Prerequisites

Prior to undertaking the training courses, staff and post-graduates are required to familiarise themselves with Local Rule - Fire Safety and familiarise themselves with the risk assessment for the use of evacuation chairs.
