Is this course right for me?
Target Audience: Research Staff (e.g. Research Assistants, Research Associates, Research Fellows)
This is a session of the monthly Researcher Meet-up, a series of informal get-togethers for researchers to connect with peers and learn about initiatives and services at Strathclyde:
Come and join us to get to know your fellow researchers and learn more about what’s going on around the University for research staff.
The event will start with a short presentation by a speaker from one of Strathclyde’s many services, initiatives and units, followed by time for questions, discussions and a bit of informal networking.

The topic for this session on the 25th January, 1-2pm, will be ‘End of contract’, so we will be exploring what happens as fixed-term contracts come to an end, what timelines you need to be aware of as a researcher on a fixed-term contract and what kind of support is available for you.
Janette Birnie, one of Strathclyde’s HR Advisers, will join us to introduce you to the process from an HR perspective and answer any questions you may have.
