Is this course right for me?
Target Audience: Research Staff (e.g. Research Assistants, Research Associates, Research Fellows)
Come and join us to get to know your fellow researchers and learn more about what’s going on around the University for research staff.
Each event will start with a short presentation by a speaker from one of Strathclyde’s many services, initiatives and units, followed by time for questions, discussions and a bit of informal networking.
If you have been missing catch-ups with colleagues over a tea break or have found it difficult to meet new people around the University, this is an excellent opportunity to make new contacts, widen your network or simply have an interesting chat.
Our next event on the 22nd June, 1-2pm, will be a fellowship / grant proposal writing and peer review session.
We will start with some time for general questions about fellowships, grants and proposal writing with support from RKES experts. The majority of the session will then allow you to either work on your own proposal or get together with other participants to review each other’s drafts.
You’re welcome to come along no matter what stage in your application writing process you are in: if you have not started yet, this will be an opportunity to block out some dedicated writing time – if you already have a draft, the meet-up will allow you to get some feedback and suggestions from fellow researchers.
Keep in mind that, in either case, the event will be most beneficial for you if you have a specific fellowship or grant programme in mind that you’d like to focus on.
Please note that the Researcher Meet-Up will continue on a monthly basis in the future after a summer break. Information on further sessions for the rest of the year will follow soon.
If you have any particular topics or speakers you’d be interested in for future sessions, let us know by email to email@example.com
