Course Outcomes/Objectives;

Join us for an expert panel discussion on key considerations for measuring research cultures responsibly, without contributing to existing cultural challenges around excess competition, workload and assessment.

Research cultures are increasingly being recognised as a key component of research quality, underpinning the integrity of the research processes, the wellbeing and development of staff and students involved in the research endeavour, and the effectiveness of communication and dissemination of the research outcomes. For this reason, the REF 2029 exercise has expanded its assessment of the research environment to include a focus on people and cultures too. In addition, higher education institutions across the UK are looking at how they can support positive research cultures and monitor the effectiveness of their activities by measuring the quality of their research cultures.

This event is an opportunity to hear from and engage with sector experts who are at the heart of work to promote more responsible approaches to research cultures in the UK and globally. Covering a range of interesting perspectives, speakers will include:

  • Add speakers as they confirm
