Is this course right for me?
Target Audience: All staff and post grad researchers involved in leading, conducting or supporting research
Course Description;
Research cultures are increasingly being recognised as a key component of research quality, underpinning the integrity of the research processes, the wellbeing and development of staff and students involved in the research endeavour, and the effectiveness of communication and dissemination of the research outcomes. For this reason, the new institutional strategy – Strathclyde 2030 – includes a strategic aim to support “a rich and distinctive research culture that enables all members of our research community to achieve and develop, and that delivers high-quality research.”
This session will be an opportunity to hear about the ongoing work to enhance Strathclyde’s research culture and for you to feed into plans for further development. Starting with a brief presentation from key colleagues involved in this work, this session will be largely discussion based to hear from those within the research community (all those involved in leading, conducting and enabling the research endeavour – e.g. academic, research, KE, technician and professional services staff as well as postgraduate students).
Course Outcomes/Objectives;
- Learn more about ongoing activities to support positive research cultures at Strathclyde
- Input into the development of Strathclyde’s plan for enhancing research cultures
