This staff development course is designed to equip academic and professional services staff with the knowledge and practical skills needed to create accessible digital content within Myplace and to support compliance using the Brickfield Accessibility Toolkit. The session aligns with national and international accessibility standards, including accessibility legislation and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Through hands-on activities and practical examples, participants will explore how to use Myplace and Brickfield to identify and address accessibility issues. The course highlights how thoughtful design and proactive accessibility practices can reduce barriers, enhance the learning experience for students with disabilities, and improve usability for all learners, contributing to a more inclusive academic community.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
